Transportation Card

I will be spending a week or so in Shanghai. I arrive at Hangzhou Airport, and will take the shuttle bus to the East railway station where I would like to take the Bullet train to Hongqiao, and use the Subway system to travel in Shanghai. Is the Transportation Card my best option to pay for my travel ? Can it be used on both Bullet trains and Subway Lines, and can it be purchased at the East Railway Station ?

Yes, the Transportation Card will be the best option to tour around Shanghai. It can be used to take subway lines, taxis, and ferries. But it cannot be used to take bullet trains. It cannot be bought at the East Railway Station. Upon arrival at Shanghai Hongqiao Railway Station, you can easily buy one at the Customer Service Center of the subway station.
