Yuping Cable Car and Xihai Canyon Ropeway are the closest ones, but theywill be in maintenance during your visit. So I suggest you use Yungu Cable Car instead. Its upper station, Baieling is around an hour's walking distance to Baiyun Hotel.

At the New National Highway Exchange Hub in Tangkou, you can take a bus to Yungu Temple within 25min. After getting off, walk 3-5min to the cable car station to catch it onto the mountain. At last, climbing or hiking on thge mountain can be an option. It is not that dangerous. Just prepare simple rain gear and the lihgt rain may stop soon.
