Z visa and working permit

I am in China on Z type, teaching English in the kindergarten for 5 months now. I have a residence permit in Dalian. The employer obtained the Foreign Expert Certificate for me but she refused to give it to me. In October 2015, my employer gave me a contract to sign. I signed. She gave me a copy with my signature, but refused to sign the contract. Instead of signing her name she put some red stamp in the place where she was supposed to sign her name. I said to her that such contract was invalid. She insisted that it was valid. (?) I continued to work in this school because I wanted to stay in PRC. But, because of many reasons, working in this school became unbearable. I offered to resign. She said I had to give her a 30 days notice. I have done so. Now she threatens me (?) with the police and demands that I leave PRC immediately. I have not done anything illegally. I just cannot bear the humiliation and mistreatment any longer. Now, because I have not travelled anywhere in PRC, all I want is to stay 7-8 weeks and travel to some historical places before I go back to the USA. What is my legal position?

Hi Mary, sorry for what you are going through. I think you can go to Hong Kong and or any nearby country with a Chinese consulate and apply for an L type entry permit, which is a tourist entry permit for mainland.
