Hotels to see sunrise

Hi, is it necessary to stay in a hotel on the top of the mountain to see sunrise or is it possible to take the cable car and reach a view point at that time? Coming from Shangai by train which would be the best place to stay? Tks a lot!

its totally depend on your luck, if it is cloudy or rain.. then no use, you cant see any sunrise or anything , in the day .... so better do it in one day , catch the telepher at 7.00 and reach at 7.20 .... then you can see morning ... so better do it in one day
