ticket collection & check in for foreigners

1.How does automatic ticket selling and collection at ticket office no 5 in Beijing South Railway Station works?2.Just to confirm my understanding, pink ticket is only for foreigner right? And requires manual check in?Thanks!

As i know, the automatic ticket machine only support Chinese ID card holder. You need to buy it at the window instead. The pink type is not only for foreigner, just a normal type as blue one. The blue type need to go via the automatic machine when checkin and pink one need manual checkin as you mentioned. There is no other difference.
