About:Hong Kong Travel

1st time in Hong Kong. Please advise.

I’m planning to take my wife to HK in Feb 2016 to celebrate our Wedding Anniversary. We are also bringing our children with us aged 4 years & 6 months. Please recommend a nice 4 star hotel with reasonable price for 4 nights stay. Easy access to MTR, shopping areas & restaurants.

Any suggestion for the MTR Card (2 adults+1 child+1 infant)

1. Well, about the accommodation, Nathan Road is recommended. You can easily find several nice buget hotel. And the surrounding transportation is convenient. It's close to Tsim Sha Tsui Metro Station. Novotel Nathan Road Kowloon is a good choice. The price is 850 HKD to 950 HKD per night. It has comfortable living environment and warm service. The address is No.348 Nathan Road, Kowloon. Hope you like.

2. First of all, children under three years old can enjoy the free transportation. In addition, one Octopus Card can only be used by one person. So you need totally three Octopus Card. According to your situation, you are advised to buy the Standard Octopus Card.
For adult, the deposit is 50 HKD and the initial stored value is 100 HKD.
For child, the deposit is 50 HKD and the initial stored value is 20 HKD.
After purchasing it, you can enjoy some discounts when you taking subways and buses.
