Family residence permit

Hello!
Thank you for your help in advance😊
I am here working in China at the moment, and my boyfriend has a L visa. However I want to get a family residence permit to reduce the hassle of leaving every 60 days. Is this possible please or since he has had 2 entries now of 60 days could they grant us a 90 days one in Hong Kong when his current one runs out. We are both British

If you two are still unmarried, it's impossible for him to apply for a family resident type because it requires your marriage certificate.
