About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

short transfer at Chengdu airport

Hi I am flying February 20 from HKG to Chengdu with air China, then transfer after two hours for flight with KLM to Amsterdam. Do I need to check in again or is my luggage transfered from air China plane to KLM plane.If I need to check in again am I allowed to enter the country for 2 hours

Dear, if you hold separate tickets purchased from different airlines, I’m afraid you need to exit and claim your luggage, and then check-in again. You are allowed to enter the country because you are eligible for the direct transit policy.
