huangshan 8th to 11th january 2016

Question

I've booked the first night at Beihai hotel as I can't decide how many nights on top of the mountain since my flight is on the night of 11th January 2016. Kindly please update any trail and cable car closure for that period so I can plan accordingly. Will coming down the mountain difficult in January if I don't want to use the cable car?

Well, you are advised to spend two nights there and the great scenery shall be well worth. The Yungu (Cloud Valley) Cableway and Taiping Cableway will run from 7:00 to 16:30 by then. The Yuping (Jade Screen) Cableway will be closed for maintenance from 4th to 15, Janurary. The West Sea Valley Cableway has been closed since 5th, December, 2015. It will be cold on the mountain in early January, sometimes it gets slippery. So it is best to take cable car for the sake of safety.
