want some knowledge about qingdao

Hello, i am coming in the city on work visa, i am tottaly new in china and chinese language, please tell me about , can i live comfortably there with english language or should i have to learn chinese, tell me some more about city like, what will be my expenses for living like food etc., is it an expensive city, one most important thing is, as i am a vegetarian is vegetarian food is available?  fast food like pizza , burgers, corn flakes, vegetables? please reply, thanks

1. As I know, most local people are friendly. Some of them can communicate with you by using simple English. For your convenience, you are advised to learn some Chinese, like 'Nihao (Hello)' and 'Xiexie (Thank you)'. 2. It's not an expensive city. Generally speaking, CNY 2,000 to 3,000 are enough for your basic needs.3. Don't worry. There are many vegetarian restaurants in this city. Among them, Tian Yi Xiang Restaurant and Zi Zhu Yuan Restaurant win high popularity among local people.
