About:Marriage Registration in China

Single status certificate from Gansu

Hello, my fiancee is Chinese and I am European. We would like to get married in Europe but my country requires single status certificate from my Chinese partner. The province Gansu stopped issuing this in mid 2015 for domestic use. Can you advise an alternative? Does this mean if I get married in Gansu I will not need this document either?

George, according to relevant regulations, although the relevant offices won’t issue single status certificate any more, those who need it can issue a personal statement which can replace single status certificate. So your gf can write a personal statement and use it to register your marriage in Gansu.
As for you, you also need to provide the single status certificate.
