Applying for F visa

Hi I need to apply for a F type entry permit for China While in Bangkok, as someone from the UK is it possible to apply for the F type in Thailand? And I'm trying to find what documents I need but it's all very confusing! I knew what I needed for applying in England, but not so sure about Bangkok! (I have the invitation letter and the jw202 form) Also is it true you need a return flight?

Lola, do you go to PRC for your study because you mentioned JW202 form? If yes, you should apply for X type and it’s possible for you to apply for it from there, but you need to provide your valid entry permit or residence permit in Thailand. Besides, you also need to provide the application with a recently-taken bareheaded color photo glued, your passport and its photocopy, and the invitation letter. Afterwards, you should submit the application to the CVASC.
The return ticket is not required for either F type or X type.
