beijing dang-dang tourist bus

Question

Hi, Is the Dang-dang Trolley Sightseeing Bus a hop-on-hop-off bus? If I get on at Tiananmen Square East can I go one lap and get off at same station? Thanks.

No, it is not a hop-on-hop-off bus. It runs along circular route, passes by some major attractions, and goes to the terminus. So I'm afraid you need to walk to Qianmen from Tiananmen to board the bus.
