Returning to China with a valid visa but a passport under six months

I live in mainland. I want to leave for Christmas and I have a valid entry permit until May. But my passport expires in May you, which is less than six months. Will I be denied entry back to mainland?

Derek, six months validity is required when you applied for your entry permit. However, I don't think the immigration will stop you for this reason if you hold valid entry permit.
