Reaching pudong terminal-1 at 13:00 and next flight is from hongqiao terminal-2

I want to travel from Tokyo to kolkata in China eastern airlines.But the problem is during my journey i need to change my airport from pudong(13:00) to hongqiao(18:00)with layover time as 5hours .

Do i need any visa?
How much time it will take me to get the clearance and go out of the airport for transfer?
Will i be able to reach the hongqiao with sufficient time?

1. No, a visa is unnecessary. Just apply for a 24h visa-free stay permit upon landing.
2. Generally speaking, it takes about 1 hour to check out.
3. Yes, the time is enough for you to reach Hongqiao. You may take maglev train to Longyang Road Station (8 minutes), and then change to subway line 2 to Hongqiao Airport (45 minutes). Hurry up to leave enough time for boarding procedures.

I called up the chinese embassy in Japan today. And i was shocked. They said i need to apply for visa before journey.

I am confused now.My nationality is Indain.
Pls help.

Well, you don't need to apply for the visa, and the visa-free policy within 24h is applied to all transfer passengers regardless of the nationality.
