Maliya, as far as I know, you can only get a 30-day single entry permit if you apply in a third country. In this way, you’d better apply for it in your own country.

This is bad news! I am still in China and I do not want to return to the UK for now. Will it be possible if I have an invitation?
Thanks for replying

If you are still there, you actually can do the extension at local entry and exit management bureau. But I can't guarantee that you will get a six month one with duration of stay of 60 days again.

You should understand that the invitation letter is a must for you to apply for a new one or do the extension. Yes, the officers might take the duration of stay suggested in the invitation letter into consideration. However, we can't assume that they will surely give a six months one.

I personally don't think it's a big deal if you just get another single entry with duration stay of 30 days because you can do the extension before it expires.
