Visit Xinjiang in April

Leaving from Xian, which is the best way to go to Uruqmi ?
Is there a high-speed train connection now between the 2 cities? and if so, how much would it cost? I much prefer the train so as to take in the scenery.
It is likely that I shall be traveling alone.

There is no high-speed train between these two cities. It takes at least 24 hours by train from Xian to Urumqi. You can take flight instead, which only takes around 3.5 hours.

Hi ,

There is no high speed train in between Xi an _ Urumqi , its connacted with Lanzhou and Xin ning , you could take normal speed train to Lanzhou (takes about 8hours , sleeper bed price 160Yuan - 250Yuan) and from Lazhou take a high speed train to Urumqi (takes about 11hours , 550 Yuan _ 660Yuan) . or just take a normal speed train to Urumqi from Xi an to Urumqi ,different takes 23 - 25- 27 hours ,500Yuan - 750Yuan .
