which travel card to buy while in Hong Kong?

I will be arriving on CNY eve 7 Feb 2016 and what is the cheapest and convenient travel card to buy for 2 adults to take me to Mirador Mansion? I will be staying 5 nights in HK and to travel from TST to airport what mode of transport is cheaper and convenient too. My plane will depart at 1.15pm.
I intend to travel by MTR and buses most of my time in HK for places of visit so which travel pass is good for 2 adults? Thank you.

1. Oh, first of all, one Octopus Card can only be used by one person. So you need to buy two cards.
You are suggested to buy the Airport Express Travel Pass. It contains one or two Airport Express single journey(s) plus 3 consecutive days of unlimited travel on MTR (except Airport Express, East Rail Line First Class, Lo Wu and Lok Ma Chau stations). You are advised to buy the one including two AE journeys as you prefer go back to airport by metro too. the card will bring lots of convenience for you and it offers discount. From the airport, you can buy this card and reload some money at that time. Then this card can also be used by taking public buses, ferries and taxi. Beside free subways, you can also enjoy some discounts when taking other public transportation.

2. From the airport to your hotel, you can take AE to Tsing Yi Station first. Then take Tung Chung Line to Nam Cheong Station and take West Rail Line to East Tsim Sha Tsui Station, Exit N5. After arriving, walk north around 110 yards (100 meters) to find the hotel. And the return way is the same.

Thanks Sana from USA for your above questions asked. The AE travel pass for 2 journeys is it for one person use or two people can use? This AE travel pass is free travel on metro only or with buses as well?

How much do I save if I purchase the AE pass or Octopus card compare to cash feeding each time I board the public bus or MTR? Thank you.

It is only for one person. The pass is only free on MTR rides. If you wanna use it on buses, you have to reload it.

Generally, paying with Octopus Card saves you 10% for each ride on the public transportation and the exact discount depends.
