About:China Customs Declaration

Are there any taxes or fees to pay when bringing more than $5000 US into China?

I'll be traveling to China next year and want to bring about $10,000 with me. I understand I need to declare it since it's over $5000 US. However, must I pay any taxes, duties, etc. when I arrive? Thanks!

Jim, if depends on how the customs deal with your case. According to what I find out, passengers who take more than 5000 USD will be warned and fined around 20 percent of the cash you take.
