If you fly Beijing - Singapore without another stop in Hong Kong or any other chinese city, then it´s okay and you don´t need apply.

Thank you for your kind answer. Could you please also help me to understand is it correct to state the below scenarios?

1. (72 hours transit) Singapore - Beijing, Beijing - Singapore transit via KL.
2. But flying Singapore - Beijing, Beijing - Singapore direct and stay in Beijing for less than 72 hours is not possible.

Kev, your second route isn't ok. For your first route, you'd better have two separate air tickets (Beijing to KL, KL to Singapore). Last time I heard that a guy who flew with connecting air tickets (Beijing to HK to his own country) like you was refused to enjoy 72 hours free transit.

Ed, thank you. I'm flying in few hours and your response kind of makes me worried now :-( as I already got all my tickets sorted.
