X2 visa - the earliest date when I can enter China
I am planning to study in PRC from February, 2016 (one semester), so I will apply for an X2 type in my home country in January. The expected study time range is between 24th Feb and 20th Jun. As far as I know the validity of X2 type is 180 days long and I do not have to apply for a residence permit after I arrived to PRC.
If I will have my Chinese X2 type in my passport (possibly during January), may I use it to enter PRC a few weeks before the first day of my studies? My aim is to use Chinese new year's holiday to be with my girlfriend.
Using the available information printed on an X2 type, it seems OK for me, I just need some kind of "confirmation". Thank you in advance for your kind answers.
