About:Guangzhou Travel Guide

Onward travel to Kaiping from Guangzhou Airport

Can this be done by bus? I've read that you can but there seems to be different ways of doing it. For instance, catching a bus at Fangcun bus station so does that mean getting of the metro stop at Fangcun? How long would it take and is it straightforward getting a ticket due to the language barrier? Be grateful for any advice. Thanks

Sure! You may take a coach to Kaiping from Fangcun Bus Station. Fangcun Bus Station is near Kengkou Station of metro line 1, not Fangcun Station.

The coaches depart densely from 7:20 to 20:35, and the duration is about 2 hours. The ticket of the coach is CNY 59 per person. On the front window of the coach is written "开平“ for your reference, so it is not hard for you to spot it. :)

From Airport to Fangcun Bus Station: take metro line 3 to Jiahewanggang Station. Next, change to line 2 to Gongyuanqian Station. Then, transfer to line 1 to Kengkou Station, Exit B. Or, you may take shuttle bus line 3 to the bus station directly. :)
