When is Tianzi Mountain Cable Car open?

We are planning our 4D3N itinerary in Zhangjiajie from 19-22 Dec 2015. Please advise if the Tianzi Mountain Cable Car will be open by then? If not, is there any car to go up to the mountain beside taking the Bailong elevator? I heard there is cable car at Yangjiajie, but could not find it on the map? Any latest updated map available? Thanks.

Hi, the cable car of Tianzi Mountain operates from 07:00 to 17:30 all around the year, so you will be able to experience it. And you are right with the Yangjiajie cable car, which only lasts around 8min and feels thrilling. It has been put into use in 2014; however, I have no map of it. Sorry for this.

Hi Emma, thanks for the reply but the Tianzi Mountain Cable Car has been closed since Jan 2015 till now for renovation! As for the Yangjiajie cable car, please help to provide more details such as where is the location of the cable car station? How far is the walk or any bus ride before and after the cable car? Is this a better way to go up to the mountain as compared to taking the Bailong Lift?
Many thanks :)

Oh, you are right. The Tianzi Mountain Cable Car has been closed for renovation. I am sorry for that. As for the Yangjiajie Cable Car, the lower station is located at Xiangzhixi Service Center (Balipo parking lot), and the upper station is at Liujiaya parking lot. You will reach yangjiejie within 5.2 minutes. Upon arrival, take a battery car to Tianzi Mountain. Since the Tianzi cableway is closed, you have to take either yangjiajie cableway or Bailong lift up to the mountain.
As for which is better between cable and lift? I personally prefer cable, because one can appreciate the beautiful scenery over it. But the lift is safer. It depends on you.
