Canadian travelling from Australia-> Guangzhou-> Canada

Hey,

Two friends of ours are residents in Guangzhou, so on our way home from Australia we were thinking of flying there, staying for a week, then heading back to Canada, we are trying to make the stay as cheap as possible, so can we just get the G visa? How much would that cost and how long can we stay?

Brad, the cost is not decided by which type you apply for. It's related to how many entries you want to get. In other words, if you apply for a single entry, the cost will be the same for a G type or a tourist L type. So I would advise you to apply for a tourist L type because the G type only allows you to stay for seven days while the L type allows you to stay longer. The cost for a single entry is around 142 Canadian dollars if you apply from the CVASC there.
