I would like to travel to China to meet a girl who I met a few days ago and I would like to meet her. I do not know what paperwork I need I have never had a passport for I have been in the army and I have never had to use one if you could help me out with an information it would be very much appreciated thank you for your help terry

Terry, I'm afraid the passport is a must if you want to enter PRC. Except it, you should apply for a visa at the embassy or consulate which has jurisdiction over your residence address.
