About:How to Travel to China without a Visa

Travelling from Thailand to Wuhan then to Shangai then back to Paris... in 24 hours

Hi, on DEC 22TH I will land in Wuhan (from Paris) at 10:10 AM and will fly out to bangkok at 5 or 9 PM (the flght at 12:20 pm seemed a little ambitious to catch). Do we need a visa?
THEN on January 3rd we will land in WUHAN (back from Bangkok) at 11H30 am
THEN from Wuhan to Shangai at 2H40 pm
And from Shangai to Paris at 00H10 on JANUARY 4TH...
Do you think we need a visa (one or two entry) or can we use the 24H free policy if we stick to the airport? thank you.

Dear, you don’t need it for both legs of your trip. And you are allowed to leave the airport during the 24 hours, but you need to apply for a temporary stay permit at the airport.

Thank you for your answer
But unfortunately here at the french chinese embassy they are telling me I need a visa because of the Wuhan Shangai before going back to Paris.
I am not sure this is true but I am not willing to risk anything with wife and kids... so I will just apply.
Thx anyway
