About:Chinese Embassies and Consulates

Do I need to attend in embassy for getting a visa?

I am Iranian and live in Germany as a student with residency permit for students. I want to travel to China with my university for a conference there in a Chinese business school, I want to know that if I can send my documents by post or I should attend in the consulate to apply?
Please help me and give me guidance.
Thanks

Hello, Mahdis, you should apply for it at CVASC, the consulate district of which covers the area you live. You can send the documents by post or you can submit it to CVASC on your own.
