What will happen to me if I can't enter China on the date stated in my letter of invitation?

I am applying for a Z visa to PRC, my letter of invitation states my date of entry as 2016-01-06 and I for the sake of consistency I have put this as my date of entry on my application form, however I know will be unable to enter PRC until 2016-03-06 does this matter? Thanks for your help.
