About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

24 hour visa waiver

I am getting off a cruise ship in Shanghai, with a flight out within 24 hours. Do I require an entry permit, if not what is requirement. Thank you

John, you don't need it if you do not get back to the country of origin. You should take your passport, the flight ticket, and entry permit to the destination. To leave the cruise port, you need to apply for a temporary stay permit.
