About:China Family Reunion Visa

My China visa will expire soon. Can I go to H.Kg. and re-apply for a Q2 type to re-enter PRC?

I have a U.S passport and am in mainland now. What is the waiting period to obtain a new Q2 type in H.Kg.? What is the maximum duration I can stay in mainland with my new entry permit? Thank you

Dear, in principle, if you don’t have HK residence permit, you cannot apply for it there. However, in real practice, you can have a try. If your application is accepted, it usually takes 4 working days to deal with it. And the maximum stay duration of the new Q2 type will be 120 days or 180 days.
