What to do from 3pm to midnight at PEK?

We arrive in Beijing at 3pm on Dec 30 and leave for Singapore at midnight. Is it possible to go into the city to visit the night market via train?We have been there but want to go someplace as 9 hours is a long time to stay in the terminal.

1. You can arrange your itinerary this way: Tiananmen Square- Wangfujing Street- Donghuamen Night Market

2. Yes, you may travel by train, which is convenient and can save some time. Take Airport Express Line to Dongzhimen Station. Next, transfer to metro line 2 to Jianguomen Station. Then, change to metro line 1 to Tiananmen East Station, Exit A.

After visiting the square, walk east for about 700 yards along East Changan Street to Wangfujing Street. Afterwards, walk north along the Wangfujing Street for about 700 yards to the night market.
