About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

72 hour in Beijing however 4 hour stop in shanghai

I am flying from USA to Beijing with a stopover of 4hrs in Shanghai. My final destination is Nagoya Japan. I want to spend 72 hours in Beijing do I qualify for the 72 hour visa free stay

Dear Nina, according to relevant regulations, you can only stop in one Chinese city if you want to use the 72 hour free transit. As for your situation, I’m afraid that you are not eligible for 72 hour free transit.
