About:Telephone & Cellphone in China

Cell phone for Chinese visiting U.S.

My friend is coming from china for a visit. Will her phone work okay here? Or will she need to get a different phone? If so, which carrier and phone?

She can use the same phone and SIM card (Carriers of China Mobile, Telecom and Unicom are all fine). But if she makes domestic calls, she has to add some codes like 86 before the mobile number. In addition, the roaming fee will be charged.
