Am I allowed to bring more than 1.5L if China is not my final destination?

Hello,

I'm planning to bring 3 bottles of liquor from the US, and arriving in Guangzhou and stay for 10 days. During that time period, I probably will leave 1 bottle there for my friend in Hong Kong, and bring the other 2 bottles to my final destinational in Vietnam. Will I get charge for that?
