About:China Customs Declaration

if my Louis XIII Cognac 1.0 bottle is above RMB5000 but within the 1.5l allowance, are they taxable?

up to 400 cigarettes or 100 cigars and up to 1.5 liters of alcoholic beverages (alcohol measure above 12 degrees) are duty-free either entering or exiting, how about the value of these items? if they exceed RMB5000, are they taxable?

Generally, whether to pay tax for alcoholic beverages and cigarettes is based on the amount. But if they are for sale, you should still pay the tax when their value exceed RMB2000.
