crowd at train stations during mid autumn holiday

Question

Hi TCGWe will be in China during the mid autumn holiday. We plan to take train from Beijing to Zhangye on 14th Sept, Zhangye to Xian on 16th Sept and Xian back to Beijing on 17th Sept. At least how many hours before we need to be at the station to catch our train.Thanks!

Azura, usually the railway station just allows passengers to get in four hours in advance. And they let passengers check in 20 to 30 minutes before the train leaves. So I think you can reach the railway station 2 hours in advance before the departure time. You know, it might take a bit long to enter the station during the holidays.

on the underground u scan your oyster card. wait about 5-10 minutes for the train to arrive and u get on and off at your destination. getting onto the train from the station should take about 10 minutes
