About:China Visa Application in USA

Can I make an application in NY for a Chinese Visa

I'm Guyanese and hold such passport living in the Br Virgin Islands. Can I apply in NY for a visitor's entry permit. And if so can the complete application be sent by someone on my behalf and picked up by same individual.
I'm intending to travel to the MS World Pageant to be with my daughter who is Representing the Br Virgin Islands.

Yonette, you can apply for it if you have an entry permit to the US. And you should understand that you can ask some to submit the application on your behalf and pick up the application for you, but you need to be in the US while applying for the PRC entry permit.

Yonette, what you said are the entry and exit stamps. When you arrive, you receive the entry stamp. When you leave, you receive exit stamp. Some countries don't give exit stamps. They are different from the visas (entry permits), which are stuck on your passport. However, people from certain countries might enjoy free entry to another country. Then they don't need to apply for the entry permits in advance. Except the entry and exit stamps, they usually get another special stamp which states clearly when you should leave.
