About:FAQ of Chinese Visa Application

I plan to come to China on a Work Visa

I will leave the USA and arrive in PRC on April 6th and will leave to go to the Philippines to visit family on April 8th. If I use a 72 hour visa free transit will I be able to return to PRC for work later that month using my work Z type. I am American.

Dennis, do you mean that you have a Z type on your passport when you enter PRC the first time? I do think you can still take advantage of this 72 hrs free transit policy and keep your Z type unused, but you need to confirm this with the port office in advance.
