how to travel by road from Jinghong to Luang Namtha?

Hello, I am planning to visit Laos by road from Jinghong (xi shuang ban na). I will fly from Hangzhou to jinghong on next week. could you please let me know after arriving to Jinghong, from which bus station i should take bus to Mangla? also wanna know from Jinghong airport how to reach bus station? is there any airport bus directly goes to bus station? thank you.

Hi, you should go to Jinghong Bus Station to take a direct bus to Mengla and buses are available at 07:10, 08:00, 09:00, 10:00 and 11:10. The bus station is only around 7km from the airport. You can take a taxi to reach easily at a cost of CNY15-20. Upon getting Mengla, you need to transfer to another long-distance bus to Luang Namtha.

You can get a bus from Jing Hong direct to "Nan Ta," the Chinese name for Luang Namtha. But you have to find the correct bus station (Jing Hong has 4). I have never found a bus from the airport to the bus stations.

You need to go to the Jinghong Bus Station at no. 16, on Mengle Avenue, in the center of the city.
