I have a couple of questions that I hope someone would be able to help me out with:-1. Is it easy using public transportation to the attraction sites if I'm staying at the Hash International Youth Hostel? 2. Also, would it be difficult for a solo non-Chinese speaking traveller visiting the city for the first time?3. Which of the parks are highly recommended to view the snow sculptures as I don't intend to go to all of them - would a day trip to Ice and Snow Amusement World and Sun Island Scenic Spot be enough?4. Are there any public transportation to these two places? I don't intend to get stuck there especially in the cold winter night.5. What would be the average temperature in 1st or 2nd week of February?

1. Yes, city bus can be a good way to the attractions. Near your hostel, buses no. 37, 56, 59, 68, 117, 124, 218, 379 etc. are available.2. Don't worry! It won't be that hard for a foreigner to tour around as long as you clearly know your destinations, which are best to be noted in Chinese characters beforehand. Lolca people would be friendly to tell you the directions and ways. In the attractions, you may find English signages as well. 3. I'd recommend Sun Island Park and Zhaolin Park, where you can fully enjoy the ice and snow sculptures. And a full day in the two sites abovementioned can be enough and they are easily to commute between. 4. Bus no. 29, 119, 125, 126, and 88 connects the two spots. And from the downtown area, buses to the spots are also accessible. Relax!5. According to the statistics of the past years, the average temperature can be -16C or lower during that time. It is really cold. You'd better prepare enough quality thermal clothing as well as gloves, scarves and mask. May you a good trip!
