Sri Lankan passport holder with US permanent residency in transit in Shanghai

Hello

I will be in Shanghai for 20 hours and would like to leave the airport for sightseeing and overnight at hotel to rest. I have a US green card, with a Sri Lankan passport. Do I need to get a visa prior to travel or can I get a permit once I arrive at Shanghai airport?

Neil, you don't need to get the paperwork before your travel. You can apply for a temporary stay permit upon arrival at the airprot to leave and tour in the city.
