As I know, more than one thousand foreigners live and work in this city. So you have a large opportunities to find a job, but there is a great possibility it will be tourism-related. In that case, you will have opportunities to meet lots of people.

As I know, the basic standard of living is around CNY 40-50 per day (for three regular meals), and the rent expenses is about CNY 1200 per month. Hope you have a great time!
