Well, most local people are friendly to foreigners. The life in this city is not that fast-paced. Life there are comfortable and relaxing, just as other tourist cities. As I know, more than one thousand foreigners live and work in this city. So you have a large opportunities to find a job, but there is a great possibility it will be tourism-related. In that case, you will have opportunities to meet lots of people.

Dear Potter thank you so much for your reply. Tourism related jobs and Operations Management are very suitable for me and my work experience. I wanted to know about the standard of living and cost of living in general as well as accommodation/ rent expenses, since there's not much on the web.. Thank you in advance :) Alexa

As I know, the basic standard of living is around CNY 40-50 per day (for three regular meals), and the rent expenses is about CNY 1200 per month. Hope you have a great time!
