Belgian student - long term travel plans

I'm a Belgian student(non-scholarship) in China with a student visa. After my student X type expires, I want to travel in mainland PRC for 6 months, after that i want to go back studying.

Is there any kind of possibility that I can travel within the mainland for 6 months? (at that time i wont be able to apply for a student X type)?

Hello, Django, are you still in PRC now? If so, it is possible for you to change S type to L type, but the maximum number of days you are allowed to stay is not likrly to be 6 months and it may be 2 months at most.
