About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

Am I eligible for the 72 hours transit ? US passport holder

Planning to travel from Honolulu via Seoul to Shanghai arrive on 17Dec 9:00pm depart 20Dec 1:00pm via Seoul back to Honolulu, am I eligible for the 72 hours free transit ?

Hello, Emily, sorry, you are not eligible for the 72 hour free transit. It is because after the transit in Shanghai, you fly back to Seoul, the departure country, while according to the requirements, you should fly to a third country or region.
