About:China Embassy in Thailand

As a US citizen, can I apply for Z visa from Thailand or Hong Kong?

Hello. I am an American passport holder working in Thailand. If offered a position in China, with all required documents, am I required to return to America to obtain the Z type, or can that be completed in Bangkok or Hong Kong?

Hey, Melissa, you don’t need to return to America to obtain it and you can apply for it in Thailand. Actually, you should apply for it at CVASC. As for Hong Kong, if you don’t have the residence permit of Hong Kong, you cannot apply for it from there.
