About:Policy for Foreigners with Immediate Family Living in China

Q2 Extension

Hello

I am wondering if it is possible to extend a Q2 visa (or renew) from inside China. I am currently in Beijing and would like to avoid having to go to HK to renew it if possible. I am an American citizen married to a Chinese.

Hi there. It's possible to extend the Q2 without going abroad. You can try your luck at the exit and entry administration office in Beijing. Remember that you need to do it seven days before your current S2 expires.
