i wonder if need to get transit visa for following itinerary? thanks

Well, you are not eligible for the 72-hour free transit because you transit in two Chinese cities. So you need to get a transit G type permit before your departure.

Is Guangzhou your final destination?
Then you need a chinese visa as you are not in transit.
If you are flying to a 3rd country and you are just in transit in China you don´t need a transit visa when your transit time is under 24h.
