About:China Visa Entries / Validity / Duration of Stay

72-hours or double entry visa?

I'll be travelling to China for the first time at the end of november. We will fly London - Beijng (12 hours transit) - Guangzhou (8 hours transit: hotel or stay in transitarea) - Philipinnes). I was hoping to get a free 72hours transit visum to explore Beijng.I'm not sure whether or not this is possible as I will have a stopover at Guangzhou airport after this one. Can anyone help me?

When we are returning it's the same but the other way round: can we get a 72hours free transit again and within a few weeks?

Many thanks for your help!

Ing, I am sorry that you both are disqualified for the 72 hours transit because you stop by Beijing and Guangzhou. However, if your total transit from your scheduled arrival time in Beijing and departure time in Guangzhou is less than 24 hours, then you are ok for 24 hours free transit. You just need to apply for a stay permit when you reach Beijing.

Great! We Will be in China for 23,5 hours so that Will work out. We can apply for a 24 permit on arrival and get a stay permit to do some sightseeing?
