Gift for Business Associate in China

I am traveling to Dongguan next week for my first business trip to China. I am trying to bring a plastic shrink wrapped gift basket with a variety of packaged food products in it (box of small chocolate chip cookies, box of biscotti, box of baked biscuits ,chocolate, smoked almonds, roasted peanuts). Does any of this sound like it will not be allowed to enter the country when I go through security at the airport in the US? Would it be best to check this in my luggage or include in my carry on item? Do I need to report any of this to customs?

Help!

Thanks!

Char, what you mentioned are allowed to enter. You'd better put them in your checked luggage and you needn't declare them.
