About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

9-hour short stay in Beijing

Hi, I'm flying Sweden > PEK Beijing > Hongkong and have 9 hours to kill in Beijing. Would that be enough time to leave the airport and make a short visit in Beijing? If yes, what kind of visa do I then need?

Hi, JB, you can make a short visit in Beijing because except the time you complete the relevant process at the airport and the time spend on the way, you still have about 4 hours left for sightseeing activities. You can use the 24-hour free transit policy, so you don’t need to apply for an entry permit, but you need to apply for a temporary stay permit at the immigration counter inside the airport.
